Install an iOS App without the App Store Using TestFlight
Firstly you will need to install TestFlight on to your mobile device (this can be phone or tablet).
What is TestFlight?
TestFlight makes it easy to test beta versions of iOS, tvOS, and watchOS apps and provide valuable feedback to developers before they release their apps on the App Store. To become a tester, simply follow a developer’s public link or the link in an email invitation a developer sent you. TestFlight will open so you can accept your invitation to install the developer’s app.
Visit the app store to download TestFlight.
You project manager will then send out an email invite so that you can install your app for testing.
Installing a Beta iOS App from an Email or Public Link Invitation
- Install TestFlight on the iOS device that you’ll use for testing.
- Open your invitation email or tap on the public link on your iOS device.
- Tap View in TestFlight or Start Testing; or tap Install or Update for the app you want to test.
Once you have downloaded this you will be able to view your app and begin testing. If there are any changes you need to make please update with your project manager as per your project plan instructions.
If you have any further queries around Testflight, please see here.
