Types of Posts

Who can post in your group depends on how the group was set up. In a classic group, all members can create new posts. In a broadcast group, only admins can create new posts.
Basic

Basic posts are well ... basic.

  1. Click the create post icon 📝
  2. Add your text
  3. Tippity tap on Post
Photo

Add a photo from your album, camera or select a GIF.

  1. Click the create post icon 📝
  2. Add your text
  3. Press + then Add Photo if you're on iOS or
    Press the photo icon if you're on Android
  4. Select or take your photo
  5. Click Post
Video

How about adding a video from your album or camera?

  1. Click the create post icon 📝
  2. Add your text
  3. Press + then Add Video if you're on iOS or
    Press the file icon if you're on Android
  4. Select or take your video
  5. Press Post
File

File posts allow you to send documents to members.

  1. Click the create post icon 📝
  2. Add your text
  3. Press + then Upload File if you're on iOS or
    Press the file icon if you're on Android
  4. Select your file
  5. Press Post
Create Poll

Ok so you have three options here. You can either create a Vote (Poll), Rate or Survey.

Option 1: Vote (Poll)

Allow your members to vote and see what the most popular answer is. Or even allow them to select multiple answers when voting.

  1. Click the create post icon 📝
  2. Press + then Create Poll and Manage Poll if you're on iOS or
    Press Vote/Poll if you're on Android
  3. Make sure you're on the Vote Tab
  4. Add a Title or Question
  5. Add an option and select the ‘+’ on the right. This will add the option to your question. Repeat this until you have created all the options you want
  6. For iOS only - select Add to add the rating function to your post and return to the post creation screen
  7. Add your Poll Description
  8. Press Post

Option 2: Rate

Rating posts allow members to give a star rating (out of five) on your post.

  1. Click the create post icon 📝
  2. Press + then Create Poll and Manage Poll if you're on iOS or
    Press Vote/Poll if you're on Android
  3. Make sure you're on the Rate Tab
  4. Add your Title or Question
  5. For iOS only - select Add to add the rating function to your post and return to the post creation screen
  6. Add your Poll Description
  7. Press Post

Option 3: Survey

Survey posts allows you to ask members a series of questions with written responses.

Surveys are available for admins of the group only.
  1. Click the create post icon 📝
  2. Press + then Create Poll and Manage Poll if you're on iOS or
    Press Vote/Poll if you're on Android
  3. Make sure you're on the Survey Tab
  4. Add your question and select the '+' on the right. This will add a question to your survey. Repeat this until you have asked all the questions you want
  5. For iOS only - select Update to add the survey to your post and return to the post creation screen
  6. Add your Poll Description
  7. Press Post

You have the option to enable/disable the following for each poll/rating/survey you create:
- Allow multiple votes
- Require results to be published
- Show members who voted
Payment
This type of post is for admins only. In order to receive payments you first need to setup your payment account (See Setting up Wallet)

Payment posts allow admins to request members to pay for group related activities. Members can either accept or decline the request. See more on payments here.

  1. Click the create post icon 📝
  2. Press + then Payment if you are on iOS or
    Press Money if you are on Android
  3. Add a payment description and title
  4. Select the currency and amount you want members to pay
  5. Press Post

 

Plan Event
Event posts are for admins only.

Event posts enables you to invite members to an event which will then be added to the group calendar.

  1.  Click the create post icon 📝
  2. Select + then Plan Event if you are on iOS or
    Press Event if you are on Android
  3. Add your event description, title, location and date
  4. You can then chose if there are a limited or unlimited amount of spaces
  5. Add Required Information if necessary for example, you need attendees to add their name
  6. Choose if it is a paid event or not
  7. You also have the option to allow additional guests and hide guest list
  8. Press Post

You can enable or disable post types within your group
